Join us at HorizonWALKS! Help us raise the critical funds needed to support Horizon Day Camp! All proceeds support the mission of Horizon Day Camp, to restore the joys of childhood to local children with cancer and their siblings. We do this with the area’s only full-summer day camp, year-round Fundays and in-hospital programming, all provided completely free of charge to our families.

Date to Dream
The Ninth Annual Dare to Dream benefit will be hosted on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 6:30pm at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Dare to Dream is the premier event for the Sunrise Association and will be hosted by Dave Price, weather anchor at WNBC. The evening will be filled with fantastic entertainment, inspiring camper stories, and a lovely silent auction.
The Sunrise Association is thrilled to be honoring The Steven M. Foundation & Lisa Drayer and Dr. Jeffrey Drayer at the event this year. The Perez and Elhai families, who represent the Steven M. Perez Foundation, have supported Sunrise since its inception in 2006. Their beloved brother, Steven Perez, lost his battle with leukemia nearly 20 years ago and since then the siblings have led the foundation and shared Sunrise’s deep commitment of caring for children with cancer. The Drayer family lost their mother, Barbara Drayer, in early 2021 to colon cancer. In her honor they created the Barbara Drayer Master Arts Program at Sunrise Day Camp – Long Island. Barbara was a talented artist, and her greatest joy was sharing her passion with her grandchildren.
Please note: Sunrise Association policy requires that all event attendees be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Please bring proof of your Covid-19 vaccination to the event. In-person events will be held in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including local, state, and CDC guidelines, to protect the health and welfare of our staff and guests.
People who have a medical reason for not being fully vaccinated may attend as well with a note from a doctor and a negative test from a professionally administered PCR test taken no more than 48 hours prior to the event, or a professionally administered antigen test taken no more than 24 hours prior to the event. Home administered tests are not acceptable for this purpose.
Be part of the magic that sends children with cancer and their siblings to Sunrise Association Day Camps by being part of our fundraising events.
