Sunrise National Expansion

Join Us In Bringing the Joy of Childhood to Children With Cancer and Their Siblings Across the United States

Since opening our first summer camp in 2006, Sunrise Association has provided countless smiles, giggles, friendships, and moments of joy to children with cancer and to their siblings. Today, Sunrise Association operates 11 Summer Day Camps around the world, provides in-person and virtual programming in over 50 of the nation’s leading hospitals, and impacts over 12,000 children each year.

Sunrise Association’s bold expansion plan will add 10 Sunrise Day Camps across the country and more than triple the number of children served across the United States.

Over 125,000 children are suffering from cancer every year.
Help us bring the magic of Sunrise to them and their siblings.*

*The total number of children in the U.S. with a cancer diagnosis is approximately 170,000. 125,000 of those children are between the ages of 3 1/2 and 16—the eligible ages for a Sunrise Day Camp. When factoring in the cancer patients siblings, the total number of eligible children for a Sunrise Day Camp is approximately 200,000.

So Much More Than a Camp

“What Sunrise does is as important to these children as their chemotherapy.”

– Dr. Lawrence Wolfe, Cohen Children’s Medical Center, Northwell Health Systems

“After my son passed, Sunrise was the only program that called me to tell me my other child was still welcome for as long as she needed them.”

– Sunrise Parent

“Sunrise gave my son permission to be a kid again. For that I am forever grateful.”

– Sunrise Parent
